Treatment Session

£70  ·  45 minutes

Building on your assessment

A treatment session picks up directly from where your last appointment ended. Your physiotherapist has your history, your assessment findings and your treatment plan — there is no need to re-explain your situation at every visit.

Each session is structured and purposeful. Progress is reviewed at the start, hands-on treatment follows, and the session closes with an updated exercise programme and a clear plan for the period ahead. The work is cumulative: each session builds on the last, moving you consistently toward the goal you set at your initial assessment.

Where your presentation changes or progress plateaus, the treatment approach adapts. Clinical reasoning runs throughout — sessions are never formulaic.

01

Progress review

How have you responded since the last session? Pain levels, function, sleep, exercise compliance — all noted and factored in.

02

Hands-on treatment

Manual therapy, soft tissue release, joint mobilisation, or dry needling as appropriate to your current presentation.

03

Updated programme

Exercises adjusted to reflect your progress. You leave knowing exactly what to do and why, until your next visit.

Questions about treatment sessions

How many treatment sessions will I need?
It varies considerably depending on the condition, how long it has been present and individual factors. As a general guide, acute (short-term) injuries typically respond within 2–4 sessions; complex or long-standing (chronic) conditions often require 6–8 sessions. You will receive an honest estimate at your initial assessment, once your clinical picture is clear. The aim is always the minimum number of sessions needed to achieve a lasting outcome, not to extend treatment unnecessarily.
Can I book a treatment session without an initial assessment?
We recommend completing an initial assessment first. The reason is practical: treatment sessions are most effective when they follow a clear diagnosis and a defined plan. Without an assessment, there is no baseline to measure progress against, and treatment risks being generic rather than specific to what your body actually needs. If you have had a recent assessment at another clinic and have your notes, please get in touch via WhatsApp and we can discuss the best approach.
